It’s so fun to teach the wonderful students at Avenue Art! And now two new exciting art education ventures have come my way.
Smithsonian American Art Museum
First, I’ve completed my training and I am now serving as a video-conference docent for the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM). I am so enjoying getting familiar with the wonderful collection at SAAM — did you know they have over 400,000 digitized art works in their collection?! In my position, I prepare and present real-time video conference tours to remote learners of all ages.
Falls Church Arts Academy
Second, I have been named the founding director of Falls Church Arts Academy. In this position, I organize and teach art classes for children under the auspices of Falls Church Arts in their beautiful new gallery at 700 W. Broad Street.
